Christmas and Hannukah

Boxing Day, Dec.26, 2014

It has been avery trying time for us sincemid November when Mama suffered a major stroke and we all felt she was going to leave us and join Papa. Our 3 youngest siblings flew in from Vancouver to be with her and bid her farewell.

When she was removed from her respirator, we lifted her to God and were all resigned that God may take her home soon. God, in His compassion, has extended her stay with us and we are all grateful. I hosted a reunion dinner for my belated 65th birthday when we were all complete last month.

We had a good family reunion for Christmas last night with the Lopez and Villavicencio cousins.

Am at a stage in my life where I am unloading more of my previous active work. I want to concentrate on more service work that is voluntary.

I will continue teaching at Ateneo Loyola Schools and remain lecturing in some subjects at DAP. But, I shall be more active in Stop Hunger Now where I serve as President.

I keep my health in check so that I may be energized to happily serve. I am currently following the terminal condition of my dear friend Josie Darang who has been confined for more than a month now because of her worsened cancer state. I pray that God grants her a peaceful passage.

Blessings for Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa and the New Year.
