Anniversary Memorial Mass for Norman

August 27, 2009

On Norm's first anniversary memorial we had a Mass at the crypt where his niche is located. It was attended by 25 family members and friends. The very young priest delivered a very meaningful homily then sang a song that he had produced. After Mass, he blessed Norm's niche and we all proceeded for a late breakfast at the nearby DeliFrance Cafe. It was a very intimate and happy occasion to save Norm's FIRST BIRTHDAY in heaven.

Angel Bear's First Anniversary

August 27, 2009

A year ago, our beloved Norman returned to God and joined his parents and other dearly departed loved ones and friends to celebrate eternal life happily. It was a sad event for us who enjoyed his love and care on earth but we have lifted him to God forever. The past year has been challenging to continue without his physical presence. However, his spiritual presence has remained strong especially during hard times. We thank God for the gift of Norman and for giving him his eternal reward in heaven.

Jacinto Clan Pictures

Jacinto Clan Grand Reunion 1961 (I am next to my late father Justo 3rd row extreme left)
Got these pics of our 1961 Jacinto Clan reunion with my grandparents, parents, uncles and aunts and their families. The top picture shows just my grandparents with his surviving children then. Two daughters were not present. They were nuns in their convents: Tita Ely (Sister Eloisa ICM) and Tita Ter (Sister Mary Peter RGS). Norm's first death anniversary is coming up August 27, 2009. I shall have a memorial Mass at the crypt of Christ the King Church, Green Meadows, where he is interred in a niche. Godbless.

Melba Bramble's Birthday, Aug.18

On August 18 is the birthday of Melba Bramble, Mom of Norman and his siblings Glen, Dale, Ray, Dennis, Joe and Carolyn. Her birthday follows Dennis' on August 15. Last year, Norman was in Salt Lake City and made it a point to drive to Ogden to place flowers on the grave of Melba and Woody on her birthday. He even took a picture of himself during that visit, probably sensing that he would be soon be happily united with them in less than 2 weeks. Godrest them all in eternal happiness.

AN OPEN LETTER TO GOD

Hand carried by Tita Cory

Dear Most Merciful Father,

I am sending you this letter thru Tita Cory, your most faithful servant. It is very untimely though but because she is on her way to meet you, I requested her to take this to You.

Most Loving Father, Please forgive my wrong doings and enlighten my being to step on the road of kindness, purity, selflessness and salvation. Strengthen my faith, brighten up my wisdom and keep me to be fair in my judgment. Help be a good citizen of my beloved country, the Philippines.

Please take care of the soul of my parents and loved ones who are with you right now. And when the time comes for me to join them, I hope everything will be at peace.

Most Holy One, I pray that the sweet smile of Tita Cory remain in the minds and hearts of every Filipino. She’s one of the most understanding mothers I have known. Undoubtedly, the best unstained and fair leader the country ever had. I pray for her soul. I pray that the candles we lighted may shed brightness to her path to Your Kingdom.

Amen

Cory Aquino's Spirit will live on to inspire us all

Last night I was able to view our beloved President Cory Aquino's remains at the De La Salle Greenhills Freedom Center, where some of her campaigns for truth, justice and peace have been held. In physical death she was so peaceful, still wearing her "happy" yellow dress. God has a great way of rewarding His faithful handmaids and servants who live righteously according to His plans. I look forward to meeting Cory again and her husband Senator Ninoy when I am given the privilege to pass on to eternity one day. She is really one public figure who has influenced me and my beliefs most years of my life. Thank God for the great gift of Cory Aquino.

Departed Cory Aquino

Thank You God for granting eternal reward to a servant leader who lived according to Your will and generously responded to the challenging call of governing the Philippines at a very critical time after restoring freedom. Thank You for the gift of Cory. We lift her to You as she joins the Saints and Angels and her beloved Ninoy and parents praising You forever and enjoying Your loving presence with happiness. Cory, pray for us all in the Philippines as we pray for your family in this sad period. Godbless the Philippines and the Pinoys. Aug.1, 2009
