Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola

July 30, 2011

Tomorrow is the feast of San Ignacio de Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits. Am blessed to teach in the Jesuit University of Ateneo de Manila and that I was educated under their tutelage in grade school, high school and college. I experienced a truly meaningful formation to become an educator servant, guided by the Jesuit principles of AMDG, Magis, and being man for others. This is what national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal learned and lived in his time.

I thank God for the gift of San Ignacio de Loyola, an effective Catholic activist at the time of the Protestant Reformation.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!

Quiet Sunday Morning

This week has been rainy. And, very busy. Attended my 1st week of 6 full days of class lectures & workshops in the program Executive Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Development Academy of the Philippines. Learned a lot about my personality. My MBTI has moved from the previous INTJ to ESTJ. My Enneagram principal type is Servant (very appropriate) and my supporting type is Adventurer (just a point apart), with equal Multiple Intelligences of Nature, Music & Space. Which is probably why I am an Environmental Planner and a Cultural Advocate. Loved the lectures about Whole Brain Learning, Thinking and Acting. Meanwhile, am also enrolled in a subject Environmental Planning & Policy Analysis at UP SURP for my doctoral dissertation.
