Today I joined my friends Ding Quejada and Lito Tomimbang to attend the wake of Lito's best friend Benjie Miranda in San Pablo City, Laguna Province, about 2 hours drive out of Manila in the hills. Lito took us to a nice lunch at an old house that has been converted into a museum restaurant called "Sulyap" (Tagalog word for Glimpse of the Past). From there we took Lito to his hotel overlooking Sampaloc Lake at the base of Mt. Banahaw. Great experience.
God rest Benjie's departed father, Balbino and give him eternal peace and happiness in heaven.
