Visit with Inaanaks

Visited my godchildren Alan and Glenda Agrao in Batangas City this morning for Christmas and New Year greetings. Happy to see them as they expect their first baby, a girl, next month. I was one of their Ninongs during their wedding in Batangas City almost a year ago on 01/02/12.

Great fun to take off and take a comfortable bus from Cubao and back. Except, traffic was so bad this afternoon after it rained.

Thanksgiving Day 2012
So much to be grateful for and be happy about: abundant blessings and graces. So happy to have completed my PhD in Urban and Regional Planning after 10 long challenging years. Fortunate to continue getting good breaks for teaching and consulting work to keep me busy and earn well to help my beneficiaries. In my senior years I can only return the gratitude through continuing happy service to those most in need. God is good and kind. Assalamu Alaykum.

Palawan Workshop

Have been in the field most of the time these past weeks to serve in the programs of CHED-SUCs and the DoH Doctors to the Barrios. Am enjoying the moving around, but it is tiring at times.  I am grateful that this year is truly a year of grace for me.

Yesterday, my Compadre, Mike Novell and his sister-in-law Eli Libas joined me, Easter Dasmarinas and Gilda Martinez in remembering Estela (Mike's wife) who departed a few months ago and Norman (who departed 4 years ago) by celebrating their beautiful lives with us in an intimate lunch at home.

God rest them forever in peace and happiness.

Tomorrow, August 28, 2012, departed Interior Secretary BAYANING JESSE Robredo will be given a state burial in Naga City, which he served as Mayor for 4 terms. He was a true HEROIC SERVANT TSINELAS LEADER who loved his community and was greatly loved in return. May he enjoy God's happy presence forever in heaven.
